Our Milk Supply Network

We use several billion pounds of milk annually to make our dairy foods. We obtain our farm milk — both conventional and organic — through direct relationships with individual dairy farms, dairy cooperatives and other ingredient suppliers, with roughly half sourced from more than 200 dairy farms across 11 states, from California to Maine. Our work with farmers is built on long-term relationships and a shared commitment to quality milk production.

Working with Direct Supply Farms

We work closely with individual dairy farms to help achieve a consistent, high‑quality milk supply for our dairy foods. Lactalis has a team of farmer relationship managers throughout the U.S. whose primary job is to work with our direct supply farms, which includes regular visits to the farms. We collaborate with them to provide support for milk quality and various technical, financial and improvement initiatives ranging from animal welfare to environmental stewardship.
